What is Reflexology?

Reflexology is a therapy that deals with the principle that there are thousands of reflexes on the feet, hands and face which correspond to every organ, gland or part of the body.

By working these reflexes with a deep pressure technique using the thumbs and fingers, the subtle energies of the body are re-balanced, restored and harmonised leading to an improved sense of health and well-being.

Following illness, stress or injury the body can be in a state of imbalance and vital energy pathways are blocked preventing the body from functioning effectively.  Reflexology can be used to clear these blockages and help to maintain the body's natural balance.  Tension is then eased and nerve and blood supply is increased, enabling the body to heal itself.

Can Reflexology help me?

As Reflexology treats the whole person, not just the symptoms of illness, most people can benefit from the therapy.  It generally leads to:

• increased relaxation
• the release of tension
• improved sleep
• improved mood

All of these factors cause an overall increase in well-being which in turn helps with the ability to cope with any illness or problem.

Reflexology is a lovely, nurturing treatment to receive at any stressful or challenging time in one's life, for example during pregnancy and after birth. But it can also be used as preventative health care and just a relaxing therapy.  In fact many of my clients continue to have regular treatments long after the initial health concerns have been resolved, just because they love it and it makes them feel wonderful!
 

How many Reflexology treatments will I need?

The number of treatments necessary varies depending upon the nature of the condition and how long it has been present. A course of treatment may be required depending upon your body's needs.

£38 for initial consultancy plus treatment. 
£30 for subsequent sessions
